Helsinki XR Center team at HXRC Pre-Christmas Party on 20th December, 2022.
The Helsinki XR Center crew has been busy as bees for the last few weeks (and months!), but now it’s finally the time to stop, take a few steps back, and just relax. The holiday season is here!
A lot of amazing stuff has happened this year (you can read more about it later), but even more is cooking! The year 2023 will include, for example, new partnerships, a proper launch for HXRC Network, meetups, and, of course, Match XR 2023. And to be our best selves for all this, we all really need a break!
We’d like to say thank you for this amazing year and all of our aventures together — May your holidays be filled with warmth and cheer!
One party, two goodbyes
Last Tuesday, 20th December, Helsinki XR Center arranged a small pre-Christmas gettogether at the HXRC office. The evening was a cozy hangaround with some snacks and drinks, and, of course, a little bit of playing with virtual reality headsets.
We are sad to say that the evening was more than just a pre-Christmas party: it was also the farewell party for two of our precious coworkers, Kira and Moona.
Kira Vesikko was with Helsinki XR Center for one and a half years as a Communications Specialist, and they really lived up to their title! During their time here, they, for example, created several new systems regarding different aspects of our work, and wrote flawless content for any platform, no matter what. Now that Kira moves on to new challenges, Meeri Lehto, a familiar face and name to many people at the Helsinki XR Center, comes back as an Event & Communications Specialist, and does her best to continue Kira’s amazing work. We will miss you, Kira!
Moona Paarto, on the other hand, came to Helsinki XR Center at the beginning of August 2022 for one thing and one thing only: to produce the whole Match XR 2022 event. This event wasn’t like any other event to her, as everything regarding extended realities and emerging technologies was completely new to her. Despite of this, she did her job with true competence and dedication, and the event went really, really well! (Read more about Match XR 2022) We hope to see her again in 2023!
We wish these two all the best for their future endeavours. Thank you for being a part of Helsinki XR Center’s story!
