About the event
FIVR, Helsinki XR Center and EEVR, supported by FiBAN and EstBAN, are joining forces to strengthen the bond between early stage XR teams and investors in the Nordics and Baltics.
The theme of this joint spring/summer meetup in AltspaceVR will be XR investment: You will get to meet promising XR (VR+AR) startups from Finland and Estonia, hear their pitches and learn about the global investing landscape of virtual and augmented reality.

COVID has been a great professional challenge for people who focus on networking and finding new investment opportunities. Spontaneous and surprising face-to-face encounters are difficult to facilitate in webinars and we know it! Although there is finally light at the end of the tunnel, we’re not going to have big live meetings just yet.
Right now, we want to try something entirely different and help bridge the gap between investors and startups. We’re delivering a free event in Virtual Reality, where you’ll learn about the recent developments of investing in the XR field from experts, meet interesting new startups from Finland and Estonia and hear them pitch live. After the pitches, you can sit down together with startups and experts to have a roundtable discussion about XR, investing and next steps on your journey together.
The event will be held in AltspaceVR, which you can enter with your PC Desktop or any current VR headset. It will reveal to you the power of current VR technology in facilitating social encounters, building bonds and shared situations among people. It’s the future evolution of remote work, interactive public space and events, but made possible already today.

About AltspaceVR
Oculus, SteamVR, WMR – Altspace works with all the most commonly used VR devices. It has a 2D-mode too for PC (MacOS isn’t supported unfortunately).
