Tehtävän kuvaus
Kiinnostaako virtuaalitodellisuus? Haluatko päästä tekemään syksyn suurinta XR:n eli lisätyn todellisuuden tapahtumaa?
Tule mukaan toteuttamaan Helsinki XR Centerin järjestämää Match XR 2021 -tapahtumaa. Tapahtuma järjestetään marraskuussa 2021 virtuaalitodellisuudessa, sekä mahdollisuuksien mukaan osittain myös fyysisesti Metropolian Arabian kampuksella.
Haemme tapahtumaan viestintä- ja tuotantoharjoittelijaa. Tilanteesi mukaan voit toimia osa-aikaisena (50% tai enemmän) tai täysipäiväisenä. Toimit avustavissa tehtävissä osana viestintä- ja tapahtumatiimiä ja pääset tekemään ainakin seuraavaa:
- Visuaalisten ja kirjallisten materiaalien tuotantoa erilaisiin kanaviin
- Sosiaalisen median ja verkkosivujen ylläpitoa
- Yhteydenpitoa yhteistyökumppaneihin ja puhujiin
- Tapahtuman käytännön järjestelyjä
- Support-viestintää tapahtumapäivänä
Mitä odotamme sinulta?
Olet järjestelmällinen ja luova tiimipelaaja. Toivomme sinulta visuaalista osaamista (Adobe Photoshop) sekä hyvää kirjallista viestintää englanniksi (tiimin kesken työskentelemme suomen kielellä). Katsomme eduksi, jos tunnet jo tapahtumatuotantoa, sekä virtuaali- tai hybriditapahtumien toimintaperiaatteita. Harjoittelun työtunteja (50% viikkotyöaika) voi käyttää itse tapahtumaviikon ulkopuolella joustavasti opiskelun lomassa, joten työ sopii hyvin esim. vanhemman vuosikurssin opiskelijalle.
Helsinki XR Center toimii Metropolia Ammatikorkeakoulun Tutkimus-, kehitys- ja innovaatiotoiminnan yksikön alla.

Are you interested in virtual realities? Want to organize the biggest XR (extended reality) event of the autumn?
We are looking for a Communications and Production Intern for Match XR, this autumn’s biggest XR event in Finland. The event will be held in November 2021 in virtual reality, as well as on the Arabia Campus if possible.
You would work as a part of the Communications and Events team and participate in at least the following:
- Producing text and visual materials for different channels
- Updating social media channels and websites
- Communicating with partners and speakers
- Practical arrangements at the event
- Providing support during the event
We are looking for an organised team player. We hope you are proficient in visual design (Adobe Photoshop), and writing in English. It’s a plus if you already know about event production, as well as organising virtual and hybrid events. The position is paid, and you can work the hours (50% or about 18 hours/week) flexibly (except during the event day).

What is Match XR?
Match XR is an experimental immersive technology conference and get-together in virtual reality about the current state of the Finnish XR industry. In 2020 we had 17 presentations with 23 speakers, 17 partner worlds, and 900 attendees from 36 different nationalities. We are currently looking for a communications and production trainee for the event!

What is Helsinki XR Center?
Helsinki XR Center (HXRC), the home of Extended Realities, is an incubator for talent, a cultural hub for co-creation and learning for all XR artists, entrepreneurs, engineers, scientists, students and enthusiasts in the field of virtual and augmented reality. HXRC supports Finnish XR startups by offering office space and equipment, mentoring, community, events for networking purposes, and carries out RDI (research, development & innovation) projects with universities. It operates under Metropolia University of Applied Sciences.
